The National Park Foundation is funding a paid internship position to work with me (at NPS) and colleagues on a multi-park project involving water quality citizen science and environmental science education for high school students.
They're looking for great candidates who live in the DC area. Current graduate students are preferred.

Arborist Assistant/Ground-worker
Wilmington Country Club
Wilmington Country Club, a prestigious and private club is seeking a Ground Worker with some arboricultural or horticultural experience. Pruning knowledge is a plus as well as safe chain-saw use. The Assistant will be trained under the direction of the I.S.A. Certified Arborist. Climbing experience is not needed.

- Woody plant ID
- IPM scouting, pest and disease management
- Proper pruning techniques
- Tree removals
- Maintaining tree nursery
- Proper planting and large tree moving
- Maintaining fruit tree orchard
- Operation of wood chipper, 50’ lift and associated tree equipment
- Roping and rigging
- Soil sampling and fertilization of woody ornamentals

The Institute of Applied Agriculture (IAA) invites qualified applicants to apply for a full-time, 12-month, professional-track Lecturer position at the University of Maryland, College Park. The person in this position will teach agricultural communication courses, advise students enrolled in the Agriculture Forward at Maryland (Ag Forward) program, keep advising guides updated, track student progress, and build university relationships by collaborating with other campus departments. Position responsibilities are expected to be roughly 60% teaching and 40% advising/administrative.
