Job Opportunities at Environmental Remediation Company Location: Edgewood, MD, Aberdeen Proving Ground

Environmental Chemical Corporation (ECC) is looking to grow its environmental remediation division. We are currently looking to hire water treatment plant operators, and environmental scientists (geology, biology, etc.). We operate and maintain a large group of sites at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. We are looking for candidates who are team oriented, and eager to learn. The ideal job candidate has some experience, although it is not necessary. Training will be available for all positions. Green Infrastructure Research Opportunity at EPA

There is a green infrastructure research opportunity that recent graduates may be interested in. The application deadline is October 4, 2021 at 3pm ET.
 
EPA supports community health and resilience through its programs, including, but not limited to, those focused on water efficiency and green infrastructure. EPA has an interest in ensuring equity and seeking environmental justice for underrepresented populations while being sensitive to “green gentrification” concerns. As the agency and states look to implement sustainable water solutions in communities, it is important to ensure that all members in the community benefit from programs.
 
Research Project: As part of their research project, the participant will analyze data, evaluate programs, identify equitable development practices, and use geostatistical tools to assess how programs are being carried out at the local level and whether they can better ensure benefits are available to all citizens. The project will inform a report with findings and recommendations.

 The Equity and Inclusion Projects Specialist is a critical role in advancing the Alliance’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (DEIJ) programmatic efforts. The successful candidate will build upon the Alliance’s emerging partnership with Bowie State University and engage other Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across the watershed. The Specialist will also coordinate seminar series and workforce development opportunities and serve as a key member of the organization’s DEI Team in expanding and carrying out strategies to engage under-resourced Chesapeake Bay watershed communities through our Forests, Agriculture, Green Infrastructure, and Stewardship & Engagement program areas.
