DATA SUPPORT SPECIALIST Job Posting for Mid Shore Council on Family Violence

 The Mid-Shore Council on Family Violence. A notable organization, dedicated to serving victims of domestic violence in the Mid-Shore area of Maryland, is currently seeking a detail-oriented and skilled individual for the role of Data Support Specialist with GIS experience. This position involves entering service data, archiving records, performing data checks, and other related tasks using the ArcGIS System (they are doing great work with Esri software).

 Requirements:

  • Three years of experience in information technology, GIS data management and/or reporting; or a bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to quickly learn computer application
  • Experience with SQL is considered a plus

 

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. The selected candidate will be expected to work both remotely and onsite at their office located in Easton, MD. Policy Analyst - Maryland Department of the Environment

 The Policy Analyst will provide support for the Policy Division within the Climate Change Program. The Climate Change Program is responsible for developing and implementing nation-leading policies to reduce and sequester greenhouse gas emissions to mitigate the impacts of climate change. Our work improves the health and welfare of people and the environment while developing a dynamic clean energy economy in Maryland. The Policy Division activities include supporting the implementation of  the Climate Solutions Now Act (CSNA), participating in the U.S. Climate Alliance, and providing policy staff support for the Maryland Commission on Climate Change. The incumbent in this position will provide support for legislative efforts related to climate change. The Climate Change Policy Division activities support the Maryland Department of the Environment’s mission to protect and restore the environment for the health and well-being of all Marylanders.

Coastal Communities Collaborations Internship - Maryland Sea Grant

This program is targeted to recent graduates (within 3 years of your undergraduate degree).

  Maryland Sea Grant is seeking a bilingual, biliterate (i.e., fluency in Spanish-English speaking and writing) intern to help expand our capacity in community engagement, environmental literacy, and workshop development, particularly with Maryland’s Spanish-speaking communities. This position will provide fundamental training for transitioning to graduate school or the private, nonprofit, or governmental sectors. As part of the internship, the intern will be expected to complete 2-3 special projects, participate in several professional development trainings, and contribute to the administration of our main office. Interns must have a bachelor's degree in natural, social, or environmental science or policy.

This internship term will be for one year . The internship is a full-time, 40 hours per week, Contractual Contingent 2 position at Maryland Sea Grant’s office in College Park, Maryland. The intern will be paid an annual salary of $37,500 as well as benefits including health insurance, tuition remission, and generous leave. It is expected that the internship will be a mix of in-person and remote work.
