The Department of Natural Resources, Monitoring and Non-Tidal Assessment Division, is currently accepting applications for a Natural Resources Biologist I. The selected candidate will participate in the planning and implementation of freshwater stream ecological assessments and will serve as a member of a field crew responsible for the collection of data on fishes, benthic macroinvertebrates, herpetofauna, crayfishes, freshwater mussels, physical habitat, water quality, and land use in non-tidal streams and rivers as part of the Maryland Biological Stream Survey. Duties will include field data collections, data analysis and interpretation, and reporting related to the status and distribution of Maryland's aquatic resources.

Working out of Washington, D.C., the Manager - Marine Conservation will be a member of the Marine and Coastal Conservation team will have programmatic, communications, and administrative responsibilities for grantmaking programs for marine conservation, with focus on coastal and ocean ecosystems. This includes, but is not limited to initiatives to address coastal resilience, coral reefs, and marine debris. S/he is responsible for assisting in the development of funding opportunities, managing funding sources, management of advisory committees, interacting with existing and potential grant/contract recipients, coordinating proposal review, managing contractors, providing technical assistance to grantees, reviewing/approving grantee or contractor reports, coordinating with the project administration team to assure the effective implementation of the Foundation’s grant administration policies, drafting recommendations for staff and Board action, and closely coordinating program efforts with the Director, Marine and Coastal Conservation (Director) and the Program Director, Marine Conservation, with the Science and Evaluation team, and other Foundation staff.
