Manager, Marine Conservation

Summary
Working out of Washington, D.C., the Manager - Marine Conservation will be a member of the Marine and Coastal Conservation team will have programmatic, communications, and administrative responsibilities for grantmaking programs for marine conservation, with focus on coastal and ocean ecosystems. This includes, but is not limited to initiatives to address coastal resilience, coral reefs, and marine debris. S/he is responsible for assisting in the development of funding opportunities, managing funding sources, management of advisory committees, interacting with existing and potential grant/contract recipients, coordinating proposal review, managing contractors, providing technical assistance to grantees, reviewing/approving grantee or contractor reports, coordinating with the project administration team to assure the effective implementation of the Foundation’s grant administration policies, drafting recommendations for staff and Board action, and closely coordinating program efforts with the Director, Marine and Coastal Conservation (Director) and the Program Director, Marine Conservation, with the Science and Evaluation team, and other Foundation staff. S/he is also responsible for other duties as assigned by the Director.
