Tenure-track earth scientist
The Environmental Studies Department at McDaniel College (ENV) invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the earth sciences beginning August 2020. We seek an individual with interdisciplinary teaching and research interests in earth science and a strong commitment to undergraduate education. A Ph.D. in geology or a related field and previous teaching experience are preferred, but ABD candidates will be considered. The teaching load is 3:3, including introductory courses in environmental science, climatology, geology, and upper-level courses in the candidate's area of expertise. Preferred areas of expertise include geology, soils, environmental chemistry, water resources, and the geosciences.
