GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK:
Performs difficult diverse processing, analysis, and conversion of geographic information to digital data; performs developmental computer-aided/automated cartographic work; provides end user training and support in the operation of a dedicated graphics minicomputer and local area network; and prepares application programs in support of automated mapping functions. This is professional work in strategies that incorporate GIS information based technology. Work involves GIS activities, GIS analysis, maintaining data layers related to departmental activities.
