Job Description: The Scientist II Wildlife Bat Biologist is responsible for collecting data, conducting research, performing routine equipment maintenance/testing, and performing basic data entry. In the Scientist II position, the individual begins to learn about project management and may be given tasks accordingly. Applicants should have experience with mist-netting, radio-telemetry, and acoustic monitoring of North American bat species as well as leading a site crew, data management, report writing, and client and agency interaction. This position requires that the candidate hold an active USFWS bat permit and have experience with various species including Indiana, gray, tricolored and little brown bats. Pre-exposure rabies vaccination with recent titer check preferred.
