Description: The Aquarium Conservation Partnership (ACP) Coordinator conducts the implementation of the ACP Conservation Action Agenda by a 20-member coalition of U.S. aquariums, including a multi-aquarium plastic pollution initiative. Description: Challenges facing coastal communities and ecosystems are increasing rapidly as pressures resulting from human activities continue to build (e.g. sea level rise, unsustainable fishing practices, coastal erosion, seawater inundation). Therefore, GSO is looking to grow our leadership in the use of science to inform coastal and marine development, policy, and management. We seek a dynamic scholar that will lead the CRC in efforts to provide sustainable solutions. We are looking for a bold visionary with a passion for coastal communities and ecosystems and respect for the role that science plays in informing management decisions. The successful candidate will be expected to initiate, design, and obtain funding for programs that support the CRC mission. The director will develop a long-term vision for CRC and enhance its position as a national and international leader. In addition, the director will be responsible for the strategic planning of CRC personnel and budget (currently ~$8 - 10M per year).
