Biological Science Technician (NTE 1039):

The National Capital Region Inventory and Monitoring Network is recruiting for 1-2 seasonal Bio Techs, who will assist with the annual monitoring of long-term forest vegetation plots. The Bio Techs will work with the lead Biologist to visit sites in 11 National Capital Area parks, recording information about: trees, saplings, seedlings, and shrubs; targeted herbaceous species; climbing vines; insect pests; and exotic plants.

Aquatic Ecologist (TERM):

The National Capital Region Inventory and Monitoring Network is recruiting an Aquatic Ecologist to lead the network's Water Quality and Quantity monitoring program. Major duties include: organizing field work and implementing the monitoring protocol at 10 National Capital Area (NCA) parks; reviewing, updating, and re-publishing the NCRN water monitoring protocol(s); identifying information gaps and developing studies and monitoring protocols to meet information needs; analyzing >15 years of water data to address information gaps and answer ecological questions that will inform natural resource management in the NCA parks.
