Contract position - Change Matters

Seeking Data Analysis Contractor, South AA County Community Food Assessment 2022
A project of ChangeMatters in partnership with Anne Arundel County Department of Health

Project: ChangeMatters seeks a Data Analysis Contractor for a six-month contract for a mixed-methods data recording, entry and analysis project in 2022.

Scope: Contractor will help ChangeMatters Project Lead to record, enter and analyze data from a qualitative study and quantitative assessment tool. Qualitative study will be administered in 4 group listening sessions. Quantitative assessment will be administered with another yet-to-be-determined sample of South Anne Arundel County residents to measure food insecurity, food access, and resident attitudes toward food security in the region. In addition to helping with questionnaire design, contractor will assist in proper coding and recording of residents’ responses in listening sessions, perform data entry and cleaning, and generate qualitative and quantitative analysis using bar graphs, charts and other visual communications tools. Contractor will work in collaboration with Project Lead to ensure proper anonymization, sorting, and entry of all written and recorded responses from residents in both the listening sessions and the individualized assessments. Contractor will further provide coded responses in a formatted table with percentages of respondents for each answer, and use a tested methodology to help Project Lead analyze and draw conclusions from the responses.

Contractor will also help Project Lead to identify, map and measure current AA County resident usage of existing food access and food security programs throughout the region, and to identify areas of overlap and duplication of effort as well as underutilization.

 Deliverables: 

● Recorded raw data from listening sessions
● Recorded raw data from quantitative`assessments/survey of individuals
● Cleaned data in table format
● Graphs and charts analyzing cleaned data
● Data map of existing food security and food access interventions/programs for the region being studied
● Table showing utilization data for each program/intervention in the mapped region
● Meetings with Project Lead as needed throughout the length of the project

Timeline: June 3-December 31 2022 Qualifications: One to three years of experience in conducting scientific qualitative and quantitative human subjects research, including IRB review processes and consideration of ethical treatment of subjects. Working knowledge of statistical methods for data analysis with varied sample sizes. Able to work well as part of a team and with minimal supervision. Some knowledge of issues related to food, diet related illness, and public health. Spanish fluency a plus.

Compensation: $4000
